The Leister VARIMAT 700 automatic welding machine has a raft of new innovations and features keeping at the top of the market for professoinal welding applications.
The new design features include an significantly higher contact pressure (3kg more than the nearest competitor), ensuring consistently improved process reliability when welding thermoplastic membranes on applications such as flat roofs, swimming pool liners and waterproof covers. The range of thermoplastic material that can now be welded includes TPO, PVC, TPE, ECB, EPDM, EVA, PIB, TPU, FPO, PO and PVC-P.
Highlights of the new design features include a redesigned and innovative swivel-in mechanism enabling the nozzle to be effortlessly and quickly inserted or removed from the overlap for faster welding and less opportunity for burning. The adjustable rear transport axle provides for balanced handling and allows the VARIMAT 700 to track straight without correction. Depending on the application, it can be adjusted to accommodate either field seam or close edge detail welding. A new air dam design featuring a sophisticated air partition concept, now separated from the pressure roller, produces a wrinkle free uniform weld and ensures an attractive seam appearance while optimising air flow.
The Monitored Welding Assistant provides the user with confidence that welds will meet customer requirements and high-quality standards. If the set welding parameter limits are exceeded such as temperature, speed, or air volume, the VARIMAT 700 emits an audible and visual warning signal. Like other Leister automatic welding machines, the VARIMAT 700 is also equipped with the proven Leister Quality System, also known as LQS-Roofing. This allows users to document weld quality and create GPS-supported data reports that can be saved and shared via the myLeister app.
Leister's sophisticated Powermanagement system ensures that in the event of undervoltage conditions (up to a maximum of 20%), the required welding temperature will be maintained, preserving the quality of the weld and saving sigificant time and money by preventing any re-work. To assist in ensuring that the correct welding parameters are used for various materials, Leister offers dependable welding profiles and a "library" of proven welding recipes in the myLeister app.
Also new for 2024 is the addition of a LED work light which illuminates the welding zone allowing welding at dawn, dusk, or in unsuitable lighting conditions.
With a powerful brushless motor, the VARIMAT 700 automatic welder is designed to be low-maintenance, keeping service to a minimum, even with intensive workloads. In addition the hybrid ceramic bearings used for the blower motors ensures a long service life even under heavy loads.
Delivered with an all new robust rolling transport case, the VARIMAT 700 can be transported easily, ergonomically, and safely.
To accommodate individual customer requirements, the VARIMAT is available in two additional versions: VARIMAT 500 and VARIMAT 300.
