Standard self adhesive VELCRO® brand uses PS-14 which is a rubber-based, pressure sensitive adhesive. It should be used indoors at room temperature and can be applied to most surfaces except PVC or vinyl. Woven VELCRO® Brand tapes have a binder coat which helps prevent fraying of the tapes when cut.

The PS14 adhesive is a general purpose rubber resin based product; it is a strong and reliable adhesive suitable for thousands of everyday applications to most surfaces including Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Glass, Cardboard, Painted Wallboard, Plywood, Formica (polished side) Polyester and Polyacrylic. It will also stick to Polyethylene and Polypropylene. It will NOT adhere well to PVC, Vinyl and anything containing plasticizers.
Woven VELCRO® Brand tapes have a binder coat which helps prevent fraying of the tapes when cut. Due to this coating, many commercially available adhesives will not readily adhere to the back of woven tape. Therefore, the use of a VELCRO® Brand pre-coated adhesive backing is recommended.

Operating temperature range is -15°C to +90°C. This is the adhesive used on the range of VELCRO® Brand products in the Stick-on retail packs. (The Heavy Duty retail packs use the PS51/PS52 adhesives).
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive
Pressure sensitive adhesives are popular because of the ease of application. Simply remove the release liner and press the VELCRO® Brand tape in place. Pressure sensitive adhesives should always be considered semi-permanent bonds. VELCRO® Brand pressure sensitive adhesives have been engineered to offer specific performance characteristics to meet different requirements.

Shelf Life Min. 1 year when stored in dark area at a temperature of 10C to 30C.
