The Vidaflex 942 is a high-quality braided glass fibre sleeving that offers highly flexible yet resistant protection for cables & wires in high-temperature applications.
The Vidaflex 942 sleeves are widely used for the insulation of winding lead-outs and joints on Class F rated induction motors and alternators. They're also used on transformer/choke winding lead-outs.
Primarily but not exclusively used in motor vehicle wiring the Vidaflex is an industry favourite for those who need a reliable sleeving that is resistant to Acids, Alkalis & solvents whilst being able to withstand high temperatures.
The specifically formulated acrylic resin coatings are applied as aqueous solutions and hence the sleeving manufacturing process has no significant environmental hazard. The sleevings are constructed from braided or knitted 'E' glass yarn with the minimum size of the glass yarn filaments greater than 9 microns thereby offering no health hazard from inhalation.
Vidaflex 942's acrylic resin coated sleevings are characterised by excellent flexibility allied to high abrasion resistance and mechanical strength.
