How to apply exhaust heat wrap – a quick 6 point guide.
- Remove the exhaust and clean off any rust etc.
- If you have some, coat the exhaust in a rust inhibitor.
- Moisten the wrap a little and then begin wrapping, securing the tail end with one of the supplied cable ties and keeping the engine end covered with the next layer.
- Keep wrapping, moistening as you go and keeping it tight.
- Wrap close to the exhaust header, using a cable tie. You might need two at the engine end for stability.
- Refit the exhaust and run the engine for twenty minutes to burn off any moisture and tighten the wrap
