FEP Heat Shrinkable Sleeves size 6.2/4.6mm Clear
FEP heat shrink sleeving offers all of the unique properties of fluoroplastics.
FEP heat shrink sleeving can be competitive with other polymers, such as polyolefin and PVDF, and is chosen particularly for it's lower shrink temperature than the other heat shrinks such as PTFE. FEP also has greater flexibility, optical clarity, and high lubricity in comparison to PFA. In addition to those traits, FEP heat shrink is commonly chosen for its lower cost and for applications where large heat shrink ratios are not needed.

Mechanical: The combination of low friction and temperature resistance allows the FEP heat shrink to be used in applications such as the encapsulation of bespoke components, encapsulation of temperature sensors with, for example, probe covers, battery pack assemblies, medical devices, automotive, non-stick roll covering and shatterproof lamps etc.
Electrical: Due to the excellent dielectric and other properties combined, FEP heat shrinkable sleeves find many unique applications in electric and electronic engineering. These include the insulation of connections in hot environments such as toasters, soldering irons, etc.
Medical: Inert, non-toxic, and bio-compatible are properties sought after by medical device manufacturers. This FEP heat shrink is widely used by medical device manufacturers and can be produced from FDA and USP Class VI-compliant raw polymers.
One exceptional difference to PTFE is that whilst the maximum continuous working temperature is 200°C, the shrinking temperature is only 110°C. Our high-temperature heat shrink sleeving in FEP can be safely shrunk over temperature-sensitive materials, without causing damage. Couple this property with its transparency, complete chemical resistance, total UV resistance, and non-stick nature and you have a very unique material.
