Silicone Rubber Tubing SP50-1.0 (5.0mm I/D x 1.0mm Wall)
Tear-Resistant
FDA Approved Material
Ozone and UV resistant
Popular in Food Processing & Pharma Industries
Extruded from a high strength silicone rubber compound with bore sizes from 0.2mm ID up to 200mm, the product meets the demands of practically any application Manufactured to fine tolerances, the smallest silicone tubing manufactured is most commonly used as electrical sleeving, whilst mid-range sizes are generally used to carry fluids and powders within the food processing and pharmaceutical industries.
This silicone sleeving is both flexible and elastic making it ideal for use with cable applications in confined spaces. The silicone rubber is post cured to give it extra stability and is able to withstand high temperatures as well as being both ozone and UV resistant. These properties enable this cable sleeve to be used in demanding and critical environments.
Manufactured to fine tolerances the smallest silicone tubing manufactured is most commonly used as electrical sleeving, whilst mid-range sizes are generally used to carry fluids and powders within the food processing and pharmaceutical industries.

Information on our Silicone Tubing: We offer a wide selection of Water Council and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved materials for use specifically within hygiene-critical applications. All our Translucent Silicone tubing can be platinum cured (non-yellowing) from 0.5mm to 25mm bore, for further information please contact sales on +44 (0) 1942 723101.
Platinum cured tube uses an addition cure system that has no by-products, this has two main advantages:
It does not contain plasticizers or other additives (that could leach into a drug product and cause toxicological issues).
It is very flexible and tear-resistant (ideal for transporting fluids).
Medical and Healthcare, used in medical devices such as catheters, feeding tubes, and respiratory equipment
Food and Beverage Industry, It's used in pumps, transfer lines, and other equipment.
Laboratory and Scientific Research, used for transferring liquids and gases and connecting various components in analytical instruments.
Industrial Applications, such as pumps, dispensing systems, and fluid transfer lines due to its chemical resistance and durability.
Automotive Industry, used in coolant and heating systems, as well as for vacuum lines, due to its resistance to automotive fluids and wide temperature range.
Electronics and Electrical Applications, to insulate wires and cables in electronic devices, protecting against heat, moisture, and abrasion.
Pharmaceutical Industry, used in the manufacturing processes for transferring liquids and gases in sterile environments
