Operations Co-ordinator for the MD

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Operations Co-ordinator to work directly for the MD. This is a key senior role within the business; it is a busy, fast paced environment.  You will organise and manage the warehouse, both in-coming and outgoing goods, and also run a small manufacturing department. You will lead the existing team of 12 experienced, re-packing, ‘kitting’ and production operators.

The MD is hands-on and works rapidly, he relies on email communication to his team - he frequently works remotely. So you must be totally at ease with both organising your emails and delegating the work within them effectively with your team. 

The company is successful because it is exceptionally flexible and responds rapidly and reliably to customer demands and needs.  Your colleague is the Sales Manager; she leads a team of 10.  Whilst the MD concentrates with them on sales you will ensure that the orders they receive are processed and dispatched seamlessly.  There are good IT & stock control systems to help you achieve this.

Experience of running a similar department in a modern, progressive organisation would certainly be advantageous.  HR and people development skills and experience are highly desirable.  You must be computer literate and able to quickly pick up the IT systems.

Hours of work at 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 4pm Friday.
