Prepare your Surface
Directions for useLike any surface being prepared to be coated, it is very important that that the surface is sound this includes being clean and free from dust. This will greatly improve the integrity of the finished application. If you require long term protection the treatment must be free from rust, removed with a wire brush and removal; product such as zinc phosphate or red lead. If the surface is new and overly smooth, treat it with a primer or roughen the surface with a wire brush.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, mill, scale and loose flaking material. Repair cracks and defective areas and treat fungal or algal growth with abicide solution as directed by the manufacturer. Still well to apply with a brush or roller. New wood should be sanded and an adequate key should be produced. Treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly. Seal container after use. Overcoating with conventional solvent-based paints will result in bleeding through.
