This has been manufactured using fibreglass braided sleeving and has been coated in silicone resin/rubber then heated to a high temperature. This process gives the sleeving excellent resistance to high temperatures, outstanding dielectric strength, and exceptional softness with flexibility.

Silicone Coated Glass Braid Insulation | 16mm Bore – Black

The sleevings is excellent at winding lead-out and joint insulation because it is specifically designed for Class H rated machinery. It is are essential in heavy-duty industrial applications due to its mechanical durability.

The sleeving is widely used in the manufacturing of wiring harnesses for cars, offering the level of durability and heat resistance required to maintain the security and functionality of automotive electrical systems in harsh environments.

Grades are available with electric strengths from 1.5 to 10.0kV

This sleeving is 4.0kV grade
