After preparing and submitting our application, we were delighted to hear that from some 95 applications accepted we were nominated to be one of the last five finalists. The next stage to determine the winner was a "Dragon’s Den" scenario where two representatives from Hilltop made a further presentation and likewise was "Grilled" by 5 judges about our Customer Focus and what we have done to achieve the same. Some of the judges were the Directors from prominent local business Waterfields Bakery, Stephenson’s Solicitors and the Royal Bank of Scotland. The awards ceremony took place on the 14th November 2008 and even though we did not win the award we are still very proud to have been in the final five.

Congratulations to the winner Oltec Group. Customer Focus is our number one priority within Hilltop and we class everyone including our employees as customers.
