VIDAFLEX L124 is used widely in electrical equipment and appliances that operate at high temperatures as a heat-resistant cable reinforcement. The sleeves are not coated when they are delivered, but they have been heated to a caramelised state, which causes the glass yarn to become rounded in the braid.
These high-quality sleeves are manufactured unlike any other. Braided using 'E' Glass yarn. Designed to withstand continuous temperatures up to 200°C and even for short amounts of time these durable sleeves can withstand up to 600°C.
Our sleevings are supplied uncoated, but they are put through a heat process to caramelise the glass yarn size, inducing braid roundness thus making a more sleek, suitable sleeve.
The VIDAFLEX L124 finds a wide range of applications in high temperature appliances and electrical equipment as reinforcement and heat protection on cables. Most commonly the sleeve is used as suitable insulation on armature coil conductors & coil knuckles.
