This SRFR heat shrink from Raychem (now TE Connectivity) is a specially formulated silicone product that is highly flexible at extreme temperatures. Unlike other silicone materials, TE Connectivity Silicone Heat Shrink displays outstanding physical strength, resists extreme heat shocks and exhibits good thermal insulation.
SRFR Silicone Heat Shrink is a specially formulated product that is highly flexible at extreme temperatures ranging from -75°C to +200°C, with an excellent balance of physical and electrical properties.
Unlike other silicone materials, SRFR displays outstanding physical strength. It resists extreme heat shocks and exhibits good thermal insulation and offers good chemical and solvent resistance.
SRFR is nonburning and has outstanding ablative properties as well as excellent physical and electrical properties.
Used throughout the medical industry because of its ability to withstand exposure to sterilisation conditions.
Other applications include thyristor power cable insulation, heating element and bus bar insulation, fibre optic bundle sheathing, and rocketry support cable protection.
