The Leister VARIMAT 300 automatic welding machine, like its big brothers the VARIMAT 700 and 500, has a raft of new innovations and features to keep it at the top of the market for professional welding applications.

The new design features include a significantly higher contact pressure (3kg more than the nearest competitor), ensuring consistently improved process reliability when welding thermoplastic membranes on applications such as flat roofs, swimming pool liners and waterproof covers and also bitumen membranes on flat roofs.  The range of thermoplastic materials that can now be welded includes TPO, PVC, TPE, ECB, EPDM, EVA, PIB, TPU, FPO, PO and PVC-P. wrinkle-free

Highlights of the new design features include a redesigned and innovative swivel-in mechanism enabling the nozzle to be effortlessly and quickly inserted or removed from the overlap for faster welding and less opportunity for burning.  Like the VARIMAT 700 and 500, the VARIMAT 300 has an adjustable rear transport axle that provides for balanced handling and allows the machine to track straight without correction. Depending on the application, the VARIMAT 300 can be adjusted to accommodate either field seam or close-edge detail welding.  A new air dam design featuring a sophisticated air partition concept, now separated from the pressure roller, produces a wrinkle free uniform weld and ensures an attractive seam appearance while optimising air flow.

The VARIMAT 300 is not a fully digital closed-loop design like its bigger brothers, but it does allow for air volume and temperature adjustment. These will have to be monitored and adjusted manually to suit the working conditions on-site.

The VARIMAT 300 is delivered with an all-new robust rolling transport case, which makes it easy, ergonomic, and safe to transport.

To accommodate individual customer requirements, the VARIMAT is available in two additional versions: VARIMAT 700 and VARIMAT 500.
